Harvey White, a co-founder of Qualcomm, has been appointed to ViaSat Inc.‘s board of directors, ViaSat announced May 12.

White is chairman of SHW2 Enterprises, a business development and consulting firm he established in June. He helped found Qualcomm in July 1985, serving as executive vice president and COO until he was appointed president and COO in 1992. He left Qualcomm to head Leap Wireless International Inc., which was spun off from Qualcomm in 1998.
