Norsat International President and CEO Cameron Hunter has resigned, effective immediately. Hunter had been the CEO of Norsat since August 2003 and an officer of the company since 2002. No reason was given for the resignation.

Artour Baganoy will succeed Hunter in the interim while Nortel seeks a replacement. Baganov is the managing director of an international consulting and private equity firm and had been working with Norsat as an executive advisor in developing a strategic plan.
