Tandberg Television will upgrade the MPEG-2 video delivery network in New Zealand for Sky Network Television Ltd. in a deal worth more than $4 million, Tandberg company executives said. Tandberg will support Sky’s system upgrade with an 80-channel compression system built on its low bit-rate MPEG-2 encoding engine, the E5770. The contract includes a video headend system, local integration and a five-year support agreement.
