Orbital Sciences Corp. said Gregory Jones joined the company, assuming the newly created position of vice president of corporate strategy and business development. In this role, Jones is responsible for leading Orbital’s long-range planning, business development and strategic acquisitions efforts in order to expand the company’s business into adjacent market areas. He will report directly to Chairman and CEO David Thompson. Jones, who has spent his entire career in the aerospace industry, most recently served as senior director of business development for Boeing‘s Integrated Defense Systems business. He held other senior management positions at Boeing and, prior to that, at McDonnell Douglas Corp.
