ViaSat Inc. said it reached agreement to supply SES Americom with its SurfBeam DOCSIS-based two-way broadband satellite system, which it says will enable SES Americom to expand its enterprise offerings across the region with a low-cost, high performance Internet service.

“With SurfBeam, Americom Enterprise Solutions can now offer service providers a low cost, high performance managed service that will greatly improve the broadband experience for their customers,” SES Americom Vice President of Product Development Steven Corda said in a prepared statement.
