Verizon said that new DirecTV customers that order the direct-to-home satellite television service through the company will receive a single bill that covers the DirecTV service as well as the telecommunications services offered through Verizon, allowing customers to make a single payment covering both services each month. Verizon said this is the first step of its unified bill rollout. Existing customers who purchase DirecTV service through Verizon will have the option of a single bill within a few months, the company said.
