Iran To Purchase Satellite From Russian Space Agency

According to a Jan. 26 AFP report, Iran will be signing a contract worth $132 million with the Russian Space Agency and its AviaExport affiliate for the construction of a telecommunications satellite. Specific details of the satellite were not disclosed, but the report stated the satellite, named Zohreh, would be used for data, audio and video.
