The STAR Group (STAR) in Asia has boosted its content line-up by renewing a multi-year movie deal with Buena Vista International Television (BVITV-AP). The deal will continue to bring leading blockbusters such as “Starsky and Hutch” and “Cold Mountain” to STAR’s premier Hollywood movies channel, STAR MOVIES.

Steve Macallister, vice president and general manager, BVITV-AP, commented, “We are delighted to be renewing our features agreement with STAR. For a record tenth year in a row, our movies have grossed more than $1 billion at the international box office and we are confident that we will continue to deliver ‘must-watch’ events to STAR MOVIES.”

STAR has also done some other important content deals recently. In late November, it also announced that closed a multi-year deal with Walt Disney Television International Asia Pacific (WDTVI-AP) to distribute the Disney Channel and the Toon Disney Channel in India.
