SkyPort International officials said the company successfully conducted a product demonstration to the Harris County Department of Education Center for Safe and Secure Schools in Texas. The demo of a standby emergency network showed that it could provide critical voice, data and video communications during an area crisis.

The system, designed and demonstrated specifically for Harris County, offers secure satellite-based Internet access, voice-over-IP communications and multiparty video communications technology via SkyPortVIP; real time tracking; text messaging; and “man down” communications technology for school buses.
