GlobeCast, a satellite operating subsidiary of France Telecom [NYSE: FTE], has signed an agreement with the Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Co. (VGTRK) to deliver VGTRK’s RTR-Planeta channel via Eutelsat‘s Hot Bird platform to Russian speaking people in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Hot Bird satellite is located 13 degrees East Longitude.
