Spire Global has hired Eric Mellinger, a Mantech International Corporation executive, as COO to lead business development and go-to-market strategy.
Mellinger was with Mantech for nearly eight years, serving as vice president for business development in Mantech’s Defense & Space sector. He grew an annual business pipeline of more than $4 billion and contributed to over $2.5 billion in contract awards and also played a role in Mantech’s partnerships with defense and tech companies.
He also has deep government experience, spending 30 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and serving as the House Armed Services Committee’s defense acquisition reform staff lead before joining Mantech.
Spire CEO Theresa Condor was the company’s longtime COO until she took the helm of CEO at the end of 2024.
