Bjørn Erik Reinseth is the new Chair of Space Norway. He is the CEO of Forskningsparken – Oslo Science Park, and brings extensive leadership experience from the telecommunications, investment, technology commercialization and innovation sectors, as well as broad board experience to the role. Space Norway announced the appointment, Sept. 25.
It has been a time of leadership change at Space Norway. In August this year, the operator announced Morten Tengs was stepping down as the CEO at the start of September, when he will take up the role of Special Adviser. The Board has appointed Rune Jensen as acting CEO until a permanent successor is appointed. It has now appointed a new Chair.
The company also revealed last week that it is celebrating 40 years of operations at Nittedal Teleport, one of Europe’s largest and most northerly satellite earth stations. Located just outside Oslo, the site has grown from a television uplink facility into a strategically important European hub for satellite communications, supporting broadcast, broadband and critical data services across
