European launch service provider Arianespace has appointed Maxime Verrière as its new Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. He will be responsible for structuring Arianespace’s strategy, overseeing its implementation, and leading key transformation projects for the company, particularly in the area of innovation. Arianespace announced Verrière’s hire, Oct. 21.

Verrière previously spent five years at ArianeGroup as a structural engineer on Ariane 5 ME (Mid-life Evolution) and later Ariane 6. He then joined Arianespace in 2017 as part of the operational team for notably the OneWeb project. Most recently, he was Head of the Payload Environment and Upper Structure Department at Arianespace.

“Maxime Verrière will accelerate the deployment of Arianespace’s strategy, with the aim of consolidating ongoing dynamics while ensuring the company’s long-term growth. I fully trust Maxime Verrière to steer and incorporate the many innovative projects within the company, as we strive to always deliver the best solutions to our customers worldwide,” David Cavaillolès, CEO, Arianespace, said in a statement.
