Sidus Space will use Atlas Space Operations ground station services for its upcoming LizzieSat constellation, the companies announced Wednesday.

Atlas Space Operations provides Ground Software as a Service (GSaaS) to manage customer’s satellite communications through a global antenna network, using its Freedom software. The deal gives Sidus access to a larger network of global ground sites, to reduce time between data collection and downlink.

Sidus Space is developing the LizzieSat constellation, a multi-mission constellation to support custom payloads and missions, and has deals with Mission Space and Dawn Aerospace and others.

“This partnership with Atlas represents yet another step forward for Sidus in providing additional cutting-edge satellite support to customers around the world, increasing our coverage and data speed while limiting our capital commitment,” said Carol Craig, founder and CEO of Sidus Space. “We are excited to work together with their team of experts to nearly double our daily coverage capabilities.”
