Satcom Global Gets VSAT Contract Renewal from PaccShip

Shipping company PACC Ship Managers Pte Ltd. (PaccShip) has renewed its contract with Satcom Global Ltd, for Aura VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) service for three years. Satcom Global has supported over 50 PaccShip managed vessels with Ku-band connectivity since 2017, and five additional are set to join the Aura network later this year. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Kok Chai Choo, technical department manager for PaccShip, which is based in Singapore, said Satcom Global delivers connectivity that meets its needs for performance and value to support maritime business and crew wellbeing. 

“Aura VSAT has been operational for over four years now and continues to evolve with enhancements to support the changing needs of the maritime industry; the key to supporting customers, long term. Aura continues to provide PaccShip with the quality, high-throughput connectivity they require,” commented James Tucker, Asia Pacific president for Satcom Global.
