Integral Revenues Dip Slightly in Cost-Cutting First Quarter

[Satellite TODAY 02-02-10] Integral Systems revenues dropped 2 percent in its first fiscal quarter of 2010 to $37.7 million from the same quarter in the previous year, despite the company improving gross margins from 37 to 38.4 percent and growing income from operations by over 50 percent to $2.0 million, the company announced Feb. 1.
The company said its growth of operational income was the result of cost-cutting measures. Net income also increased year-over-year from $1 million to $1.2 million. Integral said its upcoming contract schedule is strong. The company was awarded a contract extension on the U.S. Air Force Command and Control System Consolidated (CCS-C) program through 2013 this quarter, along with a deal to provide satellite monitoring and interference detection capability to ViaSat’s broadband gateway earth stations.
“Based on this quarter’s results we reaffirm our guidance for 2010,” Integral Systems President and CEO Paul Casner said in a statement.
