NCT Asia Pacific 2018
May 28 @ 12:00 am - May 30 @ 12:00 am
NCT Asia Pacific is coming to Japan for its third edition! Taking place in Tokyo from May 28-30 2018, the event will kick-start with a live capability demonstration on the first day, followed by a two-day conference and exhibition which will bring together international civil and military CBRNe stakeholders. Keynote speakers for instance include Commanders of Japan’s Chemical School Ground Self-Defense Force and of the Republic of Korea’s CBRN Defense Command.
IB Consultancy is pleased to announce that Dr. Makoto Akashi, Executive Officer of National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology (QST), will join NCT Asia Pacific 2017 as chairman. During his career, Dr. Akashi specialized in Radiation and Radiation Emergency Medicine, receiving numerous awards and becoming Executive Officer in 2016. He served as Executive Director of National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) from 2011 to 2015 and Director of the Center for Radiation Emergency Medicine from 2008 to 2010 at NIRS. After the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) accident he played a leading role in providing advice and support as an expert regarding radiation emergency medicine. His team performed dose assessment of residents in Fukushima and also for emergency workers who were involved in recovery tasks at the Fukushima NPP.
NCT Asia Pacific will provide updates on CBRNe emergency preparedness and response approaches at various levels. The involvement of first response actors and military stakeholders will provide useful perspectives for all attendees against the background of existing CBRNe threat environments. With Tokyo hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics, the time is right to penetrate the Japanese market in order for Japan to be ready for this High Visibility Event.
