SES Networks to Deliver Capacity to Northern Canada for SSI Canada

SES will deliver satellite capacity to Nunavut in northern Canada, through a multi-year agreement with with SSi Canada, the developer-operator of Qiniq broadband, and SSi Mobile services in Nunavut.

Under the deal announced Monday, SES Networks will provide backbone capacity able to support and improve Qiniq broadband and SSi Mobile phone services throughout Nunavut. SSi Canada will secure a significant increase in its satellite capacity, and the new SES-SSi satellite footprint covers will enable connectivity improvements across Canada. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
