[Satellite TODAY Insider 03-20-12] Canadian antenna manufacturer C-Com Satellite Systems closed its fiscal 2011 full year with the largest sales and operating profit increases in the company’s history, according to its latest financial results issued March 17.
C-Com has been on a financial hot streak in 2011, turning in several record-breaking quarters and demonstrating a successful ground-segment business model. C-Com’s 2011 full-year revenues were $19.1 million – an 82.7 percent increase compared to the previous year. The company also generated a 104.5 percent increase in full-year net profit to $3.77 million. C-Com benefited from a larger income tax provision in the 2011 full year at $1.56 million. The company only received $823,767 in tax provisions during the 2010 fiscal year.
C-Com President and CEO Leslie Klein said he was extremely satisfied that the company achieved this growth rate while maintaining the same staffing levels as it had in 2010.
“The growth and profitability during fiscal year 2011 are largely attributable to the worldwide acceptance and corresponding increase in sales of our iNetVu Mobile auto-deploying antenna systems, particularly to the telecom, military as well as to the oil and gas exploration sectors worldwide,” Klein said in a statement. “Our customer base for these products has been steadily increasing and continues to significantly contribute to our revenue growth.”
C-Com iNetVu mobile proprietary antennas and services are primarily used in mobile applications by corporations, government agencies, the military, law enforcement agencies, homeland security, utility vehicles, oil and gas platforms, police, fire, medical and other security and emergency services with a need for affordable mobile two-way high-speed Internet over Satellite connectivity.
The company spent 2011 stepping up its efforts to expand its global reseller network for its proprietary iNetVu Mobile technology products and establish new partnerships. C-Com also grew its working capital 46.4 percent – from $8.9 million at the end of November 2010 to $13 million at the end of the same period in 2011.
