[Satellite TODAY 02-17-12] Technology developer SED Systems has introduced the third generation of its Decimator family of spectrum analyzer products, the company announced Feb. 16.
The Decimator D3 aims to provide functions such as carrier monitoring and cross-pol isolation testing. The company said the D3 covers a range of 5 MHz to 3 GHz to make it ideal for satellite, cable, and terrestrial wireless networks.
The unit offers monitor uplink or downlink carriers in L-band. D3 also was designed for automated or manual carrier/spectrum monitoring for teleports and Earth stations, as well as for integration into a satcom terminal.
“The D3’s powerful and intuitive browser-based graphical user interface provides all of the features you would expect from a high-end spectrum analyzer, plus others you wouldn’t expect. Users can display, compare, store, report and export multiple traces,” SED said in a company statement.
