[Satellite TODAY 06-20-11] Advantech Wireless has launched a new line of VSAT hubs and terminals, the company announced June 17.

   The next-generation VSAT hubs include DVB-RCS and SCPC operations that function either independently or within the same Hub. The new series also features a single-card MCD supporting up to 96 carriers, maximized bandwidth utilization, scheduling efficiency and ACM.

   “Overwhelming customer demand has driven us to create a new series of Hubs for each market,” Advantech said in a company statement. “The line-up starts with the Discovery Series, supporting 18 Mbps throughput and optimized for 10 to 500 remote terminals. The Challenger Series is next in line supporting 55 Mbps throughput and optimized for 250-1500 remote terminals and the millennium series completes the line and offers the highest level of performance of 155 Mbps throughput and supports thousands of remote terminals. To address the military and mobile, transportable, harsh environments, we also created the Raptor Hub.”
