[Satellite TODAY 05-19-11]  VT iDirect (iDirect) will offer new Web and UDP optimization solutions through a reseller agreement with XipLink, the two companies announced May 17.

            The new optimization solutions work with iDirect’s line of satellite hubs and remote routers with the aim of enhancing the end-user’s Web browsing experience, enabling increased voice call volume, as well as provide overall bandwidth savings for network operators. The optimization software is an option for iDirect’s recently expanded range of XipLink acceleration appliances.

            “By extending our partnership with iDirect, XipLink can continue to provide solutions that enhance the iDirect platform’s feature set and help address customer needs. Together our products are able to help network operators reduce their operating expenses and increase their competitiveness,” Jack Waters, CEO, XipLink said in a statement.
