[Satellite TODAY 02-15-11] Sky-Stream, a Dubai-based connectivity and satellite service solutions provider, launched a satellite IP-TV streaming service over the iDirect TDMA platform, iDirect announced.
The service, powered by iDirect’s satellite platform, uses Apple TV to provide customers in the Middle East and Africa to access to on-demand programs in remote locations where such services are not accessible.
The new offering is an expansion of Sky-Stream’s standard voice over IP and Internet service that it currently provides to military and civil defense customers in Iraq, Afghanistan and parts of Africa.
