[Satellite TODAY 06-01-10] CapRock Communications has selected Alpheus Communications’ SAS 70 Type 2 audited certified data centers and deep metro fiber footprint to provide circuit access and supporting services to its clients, CapRock announced May 31.
    CapRock will leverage Alpheus’ connectivity, redundancy, co-location and interconnection services for all of its Houston teleport circuits and international connectivity.
    “Our customers operate day and night and in different time zones so it’s important that our partners can also support us around the clock. With Alpheus’ 24/7 Network Operations Center, we’ve always been able to speak with a knowledgeable expert when we need to,” CapRock COO Doug Tutt said in a statement.
    CapRock was acquired by Harris Corp. on May 21 for $525 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of 2011 pending customary regulatory reviews and closing conditions.
