[Satellite TODAY 04-05-10] ViaSat has raised $231.2 million in a public offering of 6.9 million shares of its common stock priced at $33.50 per share, the company announced April 2.
The amount exceeds ViaSat’s initial offering, announced March 26, which priced an upsized public offering of 6 million shares of common stock at $33.50 per share for total gross proceeds of $201 million. The company expects net proceeds of $100.5 million from the transaction.
Selling stockholders include Liberty Satellite and Intelsat. ViaSat said it expects to use proceeds for general corporate purposes or to repay debt.
