[Satellite TODAY 02-01-10] Eutelsat has restored all services to its customers affected by a technical anomaly that occurred on the W2 satellite on Jan. 27, the operator announced Feb. 1.
W2 services are being supplemented using capacity from the Eurobird 16, W2M and Seasat 1 satellites, collocated at 16 degrees East. The W2 satellite has been placed in secure standby mode.
Eutelsat and manufacturer Thales Alenia Space will carry out a full investigation into the technical anomaly.
