GlobeCast signed a three-year capacity deal with Eutelsat to help boost its position in the professional video services market in Europe, the company announced.
GlobeCast will lease two 36 MHz transponders on Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 1 and W2A satellites.
GlobeCast said its new capacity will be used for professional video services in response to increasing requirements from client broadcasters and news agencies to deliver live coverage of sports, breaking news and special events across Europe.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
