[Satellite TODAY 08-11-09] Norsat International Inc. appointed Amiee Chan, Norsat’s president and CEO, to its board, the company announced Aug. 6.
    “On behalf of the board, I believe this is a well deserved appointment, as her vision and expertise in satellite communications have driven product line expansion, operational efficiencies and a corporate restructuring as part of her planned turnaround at Norsat,” Ugo Doninelli, chairman of Norsat, said in a statement.
    With the appointment of Chan, Norsat’s board stands at four members.
