[Satellite Today 07-31-09] DEV Systemtechnik has re-designed its L-band signal distribution system, DEV 2180 to include a controller and SNMP/Ethernet interface and hot-pluggable amplifiers as standard features for the appliance, the company announced July 30.
DEV said the architecture is designed to save space, housing 16 amplifiers instead of 12 on a single chassis and can be obtained as an economy model, DEV 2180E, at a lower price.
The unit will be available in September.
