[Satellite Today 06-04-09] Egyptian commercial airline Egyptair will equip its new fleet of Airbus 330-300 with OnAir in-flight passenger communications supported by Inmarsat SwiftBroadband, Inmarsat announced June 2.
Mobile OnAir and Internet OnAir services aims to allow passengers to use their own mobile phones to make or receive phone calls, send and receive text messages, and emails, and access the Internet from their seats.
Inmarsat said the services will be installed on Middle East, European and North American routes over an 18-month period starting in August 2010.
