[Satellite Today 03-20-09] Stratos Global Corp. signed an agreement to become a global distributor of two new ViaSat ruggedized BGAN terminals, the companies announced March 19.
Stratos will distribute the terminals via its direct sales force and its global network of channel partners. The company’s portfolio of BGAN hardware products already includes offerings from Addvalue, Hughes Network Systems and Thrane and Thrane.
In a statement, Stratos President and CEO Jim Parm said the ruggedized terminals are ideal for military forces, first responders, media organizations and energy and mining companies operating in harsh environments.
