[Satellite Today 03-10-09] Swe-Dish Satellite Systems launched a high-capacity satcom-on-the-move terminal, the company announced March 9.
The terminal is the result of an integration of Swe-Dish’s satellite terminal technology and Saab’s stabilized platform technology and is designed for both land and marine applications. The terminal has nearly global coverage and access to almost any commercial Ku-band satellite in service to provide broadband communications speeds of 10 megabits per second.
The terminal is currently on a demonstration tour, which started in Europe in January and is continuing throughout North America.
