[Satellite Today 02-24-09] The government of Abu Dhabi has agreed to sign a $20 million contract with Israel-based ImageSat for access to images taken by the Eros-B satellite, ImageSat announced Feb. 22.
The contract is an addition to an imagery cooperation agreement that Abu Dhabi and ImageSat signed in 2006 that enabled the country to subscribe to ImageSat’s Eros-A satellite services.
Isreal Aerospace Industries, which co-owns ImageSat with private investors, is the manufacturer and operator of both satellites.
