[Satellite Today 01-27-09] Airfield Media Group has launched TéléSAT, a French language satellite pay-TV service, Airfield announced Jan. 23.
The service will target the French speaking parts of Belgium with a 60 channel offering for less than 10 euros ($13) a month. Airfield already runs the Dutch language satellite pay-TV service, TV Vlaanderen, with about 75,000 subscribers in Belgium.
Kurt Pauwels has been named executive director of TéléSAT. Pauwels previously served as the general manager of TV Vlaanderen.
