As part of a five-year contract supplying Sky Italia with a fleet of seven automated satellite newsgathering (SNG) trucks, Arqiva will provide Sky Italia with 13.5 megahertz of dedicated space segment on the Atlantic Bird 2 satellite and additional capacity as required.
Arqiva will maintain and provide support for the SNG fleet, which will be used to cover news events for Sky’s TG24 news channel and progressively replace Sky Italia’s existing fleet in Rome, which also was supplied by Arqiva.
