[11-20-07 – Satellite Today] GlobeCast will originate and control a pair of Ion Media Networks channels, GlobeCast announced Nov. 20.
GlobeCast receives Ion’s Network feed at the Sunrise Broadcast Center north of Miami and regionalizes the channels, which includes ad insertion and graphic overlay. The tailored channels are then sent via fiber to Ion’s digital transmitters in West Palm Beach and Miami for distribution.
Financial details of the contract were not released.
