[11-5-07 – Satellite Today] Sat-Ge will be providing satellite capacity for Indonesian telecommunications operator PT Telcom, Sat-Ge announced Nov. 1.
PT Telcom will use multiple transponders on the GE-23 satellite expand its GSM/CDMA network over eastern Indonesia.
"With a subscriber base growing at double digits month-on-month we needed a combination of bandwidth, coverage and rapid deployment,” Dani Indra Widjanarko, satellite general manager for PT Telecom, said in a statement. “Satellite was the ideal solution for our expansion in eastern Indonesia, and GE-23 meets our needs"
