Anokiwave Appoints New Satellite Focused Exec

Anokiwave has appointed Ryan Jennings as its new vice president of satcom and systems, the company announced June 16. Anokiwave is a fabless semiconductor company providing highly integrated millimeter-wave silicon ICs to enable large scale commercialization of phased array active antennas for 5G, satellite communications, and aerospace and defense markets.

Jennings will be responsible for growing the satellite communications customer base as well as defining and leading the architecture for Anokiwave’s future satellite communications products. This appointment comes at a strategic time for Anokiwave as it sees the satellite communications industry poised for growth with multiple high-capacity systems either already on-orbit or planned for the near future as operators aim to provide broadband service to every corner of the world.

“Ryan has decades of experience in developing the business, market, and product roadmap for innovative electronically steered flat panel antennas and terminals for satellite communications. His background and insight into the satellite communications market and customers will refine and continue to drive our aggressive strategy to deliver the technology needed for satellite communications terminals in this explosive market,” Ian Gresham, Anokiwave Chief Systems Engineer, said in a statement.
