Ovzon landed end of the year deals for its satcom-as-a-service offerings with two new customers, Nigma Conseil and Swedish Space Corporation (SSC).

Ovzon announced the $1 million satcom-as-a-service deal with French company Nigma Conseil on Dec. 28. Nigma Conseil is a French security, business intelligence and consulting firm and supports customers with critical missions in challenging environments.

Separately, Ovzon announced the SSC order for satcom-as-a-service on Dec. 27. The initial contract covers a period during the first half of 2023 and is worth 10 million Swedish krona ($957,019). Both SSC and Ovzon are Swedish companies. Under the contract, SSC will be the main party to work with the Swedish government as a customer and to partner delivering the service as well.

“We are very happy and proud to receive this first order in collaboration with SSC. We provide the customer with a world-leading all-Swedish and highly efficient satellite communication service based on Swedish technology and innovation. The service enables a new level of capability needed in a world of heightened geopolitical unrest,” commented Ovzon CEO Per Norén.

Ovzon’s satcom-as-a-service offering combines the company’s small mobile terminals and satellite service with network support. The company is preparing for the upcoming launch of its own satellite, Ovzon 3, which will bring more capacity to the offering.
