[Via Satellite 04-26-2016] X2nSat has become Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) operator Thuraya’s first service partner for the company’s dedicated Machine-to-Machine (M2M) service and new terminal for customers in North America.

Through the signature of a Service Partner Agreement with Thuraya, X2nSat will offer the new Thuraya FT2225 fixed terminal, which Thuraya announced in March alongside the launch of its M2M service. Working in partnership with X2nSat, Thuraya will be able to further extend its reach into U.S. markets.

“The Thuraya M2M network gives X2nSat a solution that addresses the gap in the market between the current ‘store and forward’ and IP broadband services with a built-for-purpose service that offers lower total cost of ownership for M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) applications,” said Garrett Hill, CEO of X2nSat.
