Eutelsat, Tivusat to Broadcast RAI’s Medici: Masters of Florence in Ultra-HD

[Via Satellite 10-17-2016] Eutelsat and the Italian satellite television platform Tivusat announced they will broadcast the show “Medici: Masters of Florence” in Ultra-HD starting Oct. 18. The eight-part series starring Dustin Hoffman chronicles the rise of the Italian Renaissance political dynasty. “Medici: Masters of Florence” will be available exclusively from Tivusat on the RAI 4K channel through Eutelsat’s Hotbird satellites.

RAI is collaborating with Eutelsat, MThree and DBW Communication on the Ultra-HD transmissions, continuing the partnership earlier this year on live broadcasts of Euro2016 soccer matches. RAI will accompany the Ultra-HD broadcasts with HD broadcasts of the series on the channel RAI 1.
