MultiChoice Goes Beyond DTH In South Africa

[Satellite Today – 06-06-08] African DTH operator MultiChoice is launching TV services on demand via the PC, the company announced June 5.
The service, DSTV on Demand PC, which was tested in August, will enable DSTV subscribers to enjoy selected programming via download or online streaming.
“Subscribers are in for a treat when they explore the array of engaging content on the DStv on Demand PC service, and experience first hand the phenomena of on demand services,” Richard Fyffe, general manager, MultiChoice New Media, said in a statement. “It is precisely this sort of choice, flexibility and immediacy which complements the lifestyle of the new generation of South Africans.”
