SkyWave Mobile Communications has received approval to operate on the Inmarsat Pacific Central (PAC-C) satellite, the first D+ provider to be granted authorized use of this satellite, SkyWave announced July 19.

"We have extended SkyWave D+ onto Inmarsat’s PAC-C satellite to support the ever-increasing demand for SkyWave D+ services in this region of the world” from 70° West to 150° East, Peter Rossiter, SkyWave CTO, said in a statement.
