Thales Alenia Space will supply two Emergesat containers to the Casques Rouges Foundation, the company announced July 2.

The containers are designed to re-establish communications links in crisis situations and keep emergency personnel informed during humanitarian relief work as well as provide Earth observation and geopositioning/navigation information.

One of the two containers will be shipped to Africa’s Darfur region in October.
