ViaSat Inc.’s MD-1366 Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM) has been certified by the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for operation over the Defense Satellite Communications System Network, ViaSat announced May 21. The EBEM program, a project of the Project Manager Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems, DISA and the U.S. Navy, is designed to provide a more efficient, high-speed modem to replace legacy equipment.
