Comsat has activated a broadband satellite service in Venezuela through acquisition of its state-of-the-art Viasat Linkstar platform to operate via the Intelsat-705 satellite, Comsat announced April 3.
The satellite – Comsat’s seventh broadband VSAT implementation in Latin American territory – will cover Venezuela, Colombia, Guyana, Panama, and northern Brazil.
The system’s hub is located in Comsat’s teleport in Caracas, and has access to the main national and international optic networks.
