Eutelsat has confirmed that an Arabic version of the channel France 24 launched April 2 across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
French and English versions of the channel had already been available. The Arabic version will be available through the HotBird-8 broadcast satellite at 13° East. The daily Arabic schedule of France 24’s third channel will run for four hours, from 2 to 6 p.m. GMT, and includes every half hour a 10-minute news bulletin with talk shows, business analysis, cultural reporting, weather reports and sports highlights.
