Iranian experts established satellite communications between Iran and Tajikistan‘s meteorological centers, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported on Oct. 9.

Iran’s automatic meteorological switch is linked with Tajikistan’s meteorological centers in the Central Asian country’s capital, Dushanbe, to facilitate the transfer of data between Iran and its neighboring country to the world.

In accordance with related international agreements, Iran’s is one of nine Asian meteorological centers transmitting and receiving climatological and observational data gathered from the regional countries to other parts of the world.
