Current TV, headed by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, has signed with BSkyB to launch a version of its viewer-created TV channel in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The concept of the channel is that viewers create the content by submitting their own video segments via Current’s Web site. If their work is selected for broadcast, they can air their pieces on Current’s U.S. network and expanding markets.
