Eagle Broadband Inc.’s new super headend facility at Newcom International’s Florida teleport is operational, Eagle announced Oct. 3.

The headend gives Eagle the ability to collect and digitize TV content from 30 satellites over North America plus other Latin-content satellites over the Atlantic Ocean. The headend is streaming more than 100 channels of IPTV content for distribution via fiber to Eagle’s IPTV customers. Throughout the next few weeks, additional channels will be added until nearly 250 channels are available.
